Bride Lindsay recalls special highlights from her stunning vintage wedding with her husband Eoin Brady
THE DATE
7th June 2014
THE LOCATION
Horetown House, Wexford
THE DRESS
I got my dress in Dirty Fabulous, Drury Street, Dublin. My main priorities for a wedding dress were to find something comfortable, unique and room to enjoy my dinner! There were lots of dresses in Dirty Fabulous that fit this description but I loved the one I picked straight away. I was so happy with my dress on the day, it was perfect….and the benefit of having a short dress is you can justify buying amazing shoes. I got my shoes from Kate Spade in New York and bought a sash the same colour to bring it all together.

THE RECEPTION
Luckily the sun was shining so we got to have our reception outside to appreciate the beautiful grounds of Horetown house. As canapés, we had scones and champagne and beer buckets scattered around to keep everyone happy! The barbershop quartet, 4 in a bar, moved around between groups performing and entertaining the crowd – The vibe was exactly as we had hoped, everyone was relaxed and enjoying catching up with friends and family.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY
We decided to meet before the ceremony as we liked the idea of getting to see each other first. It was the best decision as it gave us time to take it all in, spend a few minutes together and get over any nerves before the ceremony. Also, we got our wedding photos done then so we could enjoy the rest of the day. It was also an amazing feeling to have all your loved ones in one location for the day, definitely a once in a lifetime experience! We felt really lucky to be surrounded by such a supportive, loving and fun bunch of people. We also loved all the personal touches we had like our cake table, glow sticks, flowers and decorations.
THE HONEYMOON
We enjoyed some relaxation after the festivities, heading to Monart with our parents before heading off to Kenya followed by Zanzibar.
