THE DATE

14th June 2014

THE LOCATION

St. Mochonogue’s Church, Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow. As I grew up in the beautiful village of Kilmacanogue it was such an honour to walk up the same aisle that my parents did some thirty five years ago and felt very priviliged in keeping with tradition. From the moment I stepped into the church on the arm of my father, Eddie Fisher, the look of pride in his eyes, the feeling of joy and love in my heart and the excitement of seeing David at the top of the aisle patiently awaiting my arrival is a feeling I will remember for the rest of my life.

THE DRESS

The dress was a Paloma Blanca which I purchased in Eden Manor Bridal, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. It was an off white, pure silk A line dress with lace on the top and back part of the dress. There were swarovski crystals through the lace which flickered beautifully in the sunlight. There was a silk band around the waistline and silk buttons at the the back of the dress. The pure silk skirt fell around in a semi circle shape on the floor behind.

HAIR & MAKEUP

Makeup: Making Faces, Gorey, Co. Wexford. Apryl was just fantastic. As a previous client of Apryl’s, I knew her work and was confident that she was the right person for the job. I cannot recommend Making Faces make up studio enough. We were all delighted with our make up.
Hair: Tanya Murray. Just like Apryl above, I was familiar with Tanya’s creativity and she knew exactly what I was looking for. A true professional.

THE RECEPTION

Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel, Ballymoney, Co. Wexford. Such a beautiful, unique wedding venue. The hotel facilitated our every need, we had my grandparents old tea sets on the top table which made them apart of our special day as they are no loner with us. We remembered David’s father, David Hamblyn, with a beautiful remembrance candle lighting at all times. It was a completely magical reception with award winning food and great staff.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY

Highlight for me was getting to David at the top of the aisle and seeing his face. Other highlights would be having both my parents, Eddie and Mary Fisher, by my side and I remember looking at them and seeing how proud they looked which made me feel very blessed. I also remember catching the eye of my mother-in-law, Ann Hamblyn, as I walked down the aisle and her look of happiness and pride also remains in my heart.

THE HONEYMOON

We went on a trip of the West Coast of the United States. We started off in San Fancisco and drove west as far as San Diego taking in so many cities and towns along the way finishing it off in Las Vegas. All in all it was a 3 week trip of a lifetime.
