Bride Deborah recalls special highlights from her wedding with husband Tom Donnelly .
THE DATE
26th April 2014
THE LOCATION
Corracrin Church, Co. Monaghan.
The church was beautiful with Tom’s parish priest Father Cadam making everyone feel very relaxed and welcome. There was a great bustle and excitement in the church. My cousin Aine Brady, Cavan played piano for the service and my cousin Sinead Galligan sang amazingly. We had friends and family say readings and prayers, including Tom’s mother Nancy. Marina Dolan , Tom’s sister in-law to be, had a beautiful candle made to remember Tom’s father Seamus by, which we light together at the start of the ceremony.
I forgot my bouquet in the hotel, so my brother Liam Allen kindly sorted that out and got it to me for the photos at the end of the mass!

THE RECEPTION
Castle Leslie Estate, Glaslough, Co Monaghan. It was absolutely stunning , from our arrival the night prior, to arrival as Mr & Mrs, dinner and dancing and lounging around the next day. It was so relaxed and everyone commented on how relaxed the day was!
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY
Having breakfast with my folks Liam and Patricia that morning was lovely, and a little emotional. Walking down the aisle with dad, catching a glimpse of everyone looking so well, knowing the efforts made and time taken by everyone to be with us and then finally laying eyes on Tom at the top was the best , followed by saying our vows and knowing how lucky we both are was a special moment in the day. The speeches were also good fun. For Tom the highlight was placing the wedding band on Deborah’s finger and kissing his bride at the top of the aisle to great applause and cheering !
THE HONEYMOON
We went to Paris, France, for a few days followed by south coast with base outside Cannes which was great for checking out the whole region.
