The big day is approaching and although Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll have remained quiet about their upcoming wedding, we are all expecting it to be a lavish affair and if the music is anything to go by, it will be.
The golfing superstar will reportedly wed his fiancée in Ashford Castle in Mayo this coming weekend and according to the Irish Mail, Stevie Wonder is set to play.
‘Wonder will perform with an 18-piece band, at vast expense.’
‘They are flying in on Thursday and separately a piano and a piano turner are arriving from London.’
Rory admitting only last month he was getting married sooner than expected when he’ll be a “a married man,” on his return to the Players Championship, which takes place on May 9-14.
He said:
“I am excited. It’s a great time in my life and it would have been nice to walk down the aisle in the green jacket! It’s a great time in our lives and it’s all about that over the next couple of weeks and I’ll come back at the Players refreshed and a married man and start a new chapter in my life.”
We cannot wait to see the guest-list.
