Wondering of ways to make your wedding more unique? More relaxing? Or perhaps more kid friendly? Look no further. We’ve had a quick peek into the never ending wedding section on Pinterest (seriously, too addicting), and have picked out a few ideas we think rock. If you add these into your plans on your big day, guests will go on talking about your wedding for years…. And years and years. It is the little things that matter after all!
1. GET SNAPPY HAPPY
This idea is BRILLIANT and costs literally pocket change. Grab a chalk board, create a hashtag name, make a sign and you’re set. Then just ask your guests to use it when they upload pics! Simple, and so much fun. This makes it very easy for the Bride and Groom (and guests!) to find a gazillion pics that the photographer will have missed!
2. KIDDY NIGHTCAP ANYONE?
So much fun for the little ones to enjoy before bed, while the parents are enjoying their own glasses of non-kiddy drinks. No one gets left out! (Make sure to have some set aside for some adults…)
3. BRING THE MEMORIES HOME
Ever go to a wedding, and that one song is played that you break out in small jumps, announce to anyone within hearing distance as ‘MY TUNE!’ and then the rest of the night is a blur? (As you’ve danced the night away starting with that song….and also danced the legs off anyone within grabbing reach). Well now you can have that tune, and many more if the Bride and Groom are cool enough to make copies of the songs that will be featured throughout the event. Except requests, unless the CD is made AFTER the wedding night. Which is an option too.
4. A BEER BARROW
Enough said.
5. DISNEY MAGIC
Yes I’m 27, and yes I love Disney. Seriously, bring something like these out at your wedding and EVERYONE will be joining in and they will make for such funny pictures. And maybe even a very loud sing-along contest.
6. SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND
Sparklers are so much fun. They really bring out the kids in everyone. And another bonus, they make for gorgeous nighttime pictures. See the example below…
7. DATE NIGHT IN A JAR
Have your guests all write down their favourite dates, or places to go and see, or things to do and pop them into a jar! Then you and your new husband, can pick out one in turns on date nights, and do them! Make sure they sign them, so you can report back and say you completed their date idea!
8. SONG REQUEST CARD (What a rocking’ idea)
Yep. This is one cool idea. And can make for one looong night if you have a large guest list. Get everyone to request a song on their R.S.V.P cards/emails and make sure it’s played! (Also helps out the poor DJ who may not be able to understand or hear you over the music and who might not have that song you want on the night!)
