Bride Debra recalls special highlights from her stunning wedding with husband Karl Daly.
THE DATE
2nd August 2014
THE LOCATION
We travelled from Sydney Australia to our hometown of Dublin and had a Spiritualist/Civil Ceremony at Kettles Country House Hotel. Our registrar was the most wonderful lady called Berenice Farrell. She kept us both calm on the day. It was a close intimate and very personal ceremony with 150 of our closest family and friends joining us. The Kooky Ukes played at our ceremony and drinks reception and they were wonderful.
THE DRESS
It was by Enzoani from Bridal Corner in Glasnevin Dublin. I opted for a vintage/boho style. I had two headpieces made, my veil/scarf was made by a designer in Sydney called Michelle Ohannessian and my pearl headpiece was made by Bliss Jewellery Designs in Melbourne.
HAIR & MAKE-UP
Makeup: By the Fabulous From Matt to Metallic in Glasnevin, Dublin.
Hair: The very talented Jade Coakely from Creative Vibes.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Tom Coakley was our Photgrapher and our Videographer was Ronan Quinn. Both were very professional and discreet on the day.
THE RECEPTION
The reception was lots of fun. We put our own finishing touches to the venue. We brought home lots of vintage decorations from Australia. Our guests ate delicious food, drank fabulous wine and danced the night away to Jack to Jack, who were amazing and so entertaining. The following day we continued the celebrations and had an Irish ballad group called Sick Notes play at our venue.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY
All of it. Seeing our Daughter India-Rose walk up the aisle carrying a sign saying ‘Mummy here comes Daddy”. Walking down the aisle with my Dad. The look on my Husband’s face when he saw me (PRICELESS). Such an amazing day.
THE HONEYMOON
We stayed at the Secrets Silversands Resort in Mexico, The Aria Hotel in Las Vegas and The Hilton Resort Jumeriah Beach in Dubai.
