There’s nothing quite as nice as having a wander through a Christmas market to get you into the festive spirit. And we’ve sussed out the best markets to visit on our fabulous Emerald Isle this festive season.
Galway- The Galway Christmas market is now in its sixth year and is only getting bigger and better. It has become the most popular seasonal event in the country. It opened on the 20th of November and stays open until the 22nd of December for anyone looking to squeeze in some last minute Christmas feels. It’s open until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 10pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I believe Christmas Market Dublin– The ‘I believe Christmas Market’ located at Custom House Quay, Dublin 1, has everything to keep both parents and kids amused. It opened on the 26th of November and will run until the 23rd of December. The market includes seasonal pop up shops, the Santa experience and a Scandinavian ski lodge pop up bar.

Cork– ‘Glow, A Cork Christmas Celebration’ is now open and will be running until the 20th of December. There is loads to see and do this year such as, Santa’s Workshop, A giant Ferris wheel, food markets and festive entertainment.
Kerry- Christmas Spraoi in Tralee opened on the 17th of November and will stay open until the 23rd of December. The market is full of local producers and craft makers and is perfect if you’re looking to sample some yummy treats.
Limerick- Christmas at the Milk Market. The Christmas market runs right up to Christmas Eve and features over 60 stalls and shops, offering a wide range of food, craft, books, fashions and seasonal decorations.
