Bride Stephanie recalls special highlights from her wedding with husband Paul O’ Loughlin .
THE DATE
August 4th 2013
THE LOCATION
Church of the Immaculate Conception, Lahinch, Co. Clare. Our celebrant was so helpful and approachable. This made the planning of the church ceremony so enjoyable. Colin Fahy performed the music. He has an unforgettable singing voice.
THE DRESS
The dress was a Pronovias dress from Belladonna Bridal in Galway. I fell in love with the exquisite lace detail. I tried on a few more dresses but kept returning to this one. The top is detachable so when it was removed in the evening, it gave the dress a new look.
HAIR & MAKEUP
Makeup: MAC
Hair: Bridget Haren hair
THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Woodard Photography
THE RECEPTION
Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Co. Clare.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY
Having our parents there to celebrate with us. Couldn’t recommend the violinist Patricia Treacy enough. She played right throughout the meal. Guests were swinging their napkins and forming trains around the function room to lively numbers. It was amazing- such fun and so different. Got everyone going right from the start.
advice for new brides
Relax on the day….Remember you have put so much work into the day it’s so important that you enjoy it. I think all brides need to chill the week of the wedding. Keep all contact numbers of all bookings made in a wedding planner diary- It’s definitely a must to be organised. Knowing that everything is well organised beforehand means you can totally relax on the day. Also don’t be afraid to accept help from others. Designate jobs to friends, family- you can’t possibly do it all yourself. My two sisters who were my Bridesmaids were so helpful in the lead up to the wedding.
