The day has finally come for bachelor Declan Donnelly to get hitched as he prepares to marry his manager Ali Astall.
The Britain’s Got Talent host finally popped the question after dating for over two years to Ali while in Australia for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here last year, and will tie the knot in a church ceremony today.
With his trusty sidekick Ant McPartlin, as his best man, Dec and Ali will be celebrating with a number of celebrity guests with the likes of Simon Cowell, Holly Willoughby, Paddy McGuinness and Keith Lemon in attendance.
The church service will be conducted by his brother.
Dec, 39, and Ali are tying the knot in front of family and close friends at a church in Geordie Dec’s home city where Father Dermott Donnelly has chosen a series of hymns and prayers.
Ant, is expected to deliver a “hilarious speech” as his best man.
But Dec, who popped the question to Ali last November, will also pay an emotional tribute to his dad Alphonsus, who lost his battle with cancer aged 78 in 2011.
Earlier this year the TV presenter, who began dating 36-year-old Ali in 2012, said: “There is always someone you are going to miss and for me it’s my dad.
“I always hoped he would see me marry, but these things happen. I know he’s proud of me.”
He added: “My mum will be there though, and all my friends.”
